HERKUNFT & REGION

OUR WINERY

Our philosophy is puristic – we allow our wines to develop as authentically as possible, with no unnecessary interventions or fining. The result is wines that clearly reflect their terroir and tell a story with each bottle.

In the steep slopes, the grapes for our wines ripen slowly, under sunny days and cool nights, which gives them a unique depth and complexity.

Our wines are delicately fruity, mineral-driven, and characterized by a lightness that guarantees drinking pleasure and is nevertheless sustainable.

We love to welcome you for a wine tasting at our winery. You can also shop our wines online.

We are a small family winery in Detzem, which is located at the heart of the beautiful Mosel – the Middlemosel.

All of our vines grow around our hometown with focus on the great vineyard side Maximiner Klosterlay.

The Maximiner Klosterlay is named after the Abbey St. Maximin in Trier, which was one of the leading wineries at the Mosel in the middle ages and was one of their best sides.

The core of our winery is our family: We are currently working with two generations in our vineyards: Klaus and Dorothee (our parents) and Julia and Daniela.

Macht weiter so 👍🏻 Vielen lieben Dank !

We did a wine hike, it was lovely. The hike itself is a bit long, about 7.5km and it took us over 3 hours with stops to enjoy the wine and sights. Make sure you take water with you on the sunny summer day. The hike itself was beautiful, we even saw a deer eating grapes near by! Their late harvest Riesling Spätlese wine was amazing, crisp and fruity!
